School Holiday Workshops with Special Guests

School Holiday Workshop FlyerWe are pleased to announce details of our July school holiday workshops!

Joining us for special guest workshops in the winter holidays are Thabang Baloyi and Georgina Charteris, taking junior and senior workshops to help keep our kids and teens moving during the holidays!

Thabang is best known from this latest season of So You Think You Can Dance, where he placed in the Top 20 dancers in Australia and wow’d us with his Ballroom skills. He has also appeared on Baz Luhrman’s The Great Gatsby, and as part of Ricky Martin’s show.

Georgina is an established performer based in Melbourne, with professional experience as a commercial cabaret and troupe dancer. Originally from Perth, Georgina is a past WAPS team member and we’re thrilled to have her joining us again!

Musical Theatre with Georgina
Junior (7-10 yrs) 10-11.30am
Senior (11 yrs+) 12-1.30pm

TUESDAY 15 JULY
Contemporary with Thabang
Open (10 yrs+) 10.30-12pm
Jazz with Georgina
Open (10yrs+) 12.30-2pm

WEDNESDAY 16 JULY
Hip Hop with Thabang
Junior (7-10 yrs) 10-11.30am
Senior (11 yrs+) 12-1.30pm

Workshops are $25 each.

Something I’ve learned at DEX that I would not have experienced if I’d not attended, were lots more skills, and the experience of travelling on my own for the very first time! I achieved more dance skills and got more confident at meeting new people. It was fun exploring Disneyland Hollywood and Starbucks. From my Master Instructors, I learned to smile whilst dancing, show expression, give it your all, believe in yourself, and don’t care what anyone else thinks.
