Special SYTYCD HipHop Workshops at WAPS

We’re excited to announce that on July 4th, So You Think You Can Dance? stars Nicole “LAMB” and Phillipe Witana will be joining us for two very special Hip Hop workshops at The WA Performance School!

Nicole (or Lamb as she is better known) was one of the finalists of Season 2 of SYTYCD Australia. She is famous for her commercial dance and artistic choreography work, as well as performing and co-ordinating workshops for and with dancers who have supported artists such as Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Chris Brown, Rihannah and Timomatic. She regularly features in live events, music videos and concerts.

Phillipe Witana was one of the Top 4 finalists of Season 3 of SYTYCD Australia, gaining recognition as one of the most diverse dancers in the competition. He has danced professionally for numerous national and international artists and was a featured dancer for Paulini and Jessica Mauboy at the ARIAs. He is currently performing with the Sydney Dance Company and touring his dance workshops nationally.

We are very excited to offer our students the opportunity to join Phillipe and Lamb for what will be fantastic and memorable workshops – our dancers will learn a great deal from these professional performers and mentors. The workshops are open to all dancers whether they currently take WAPS Hip Hop classes or not, and they are open to the public – so it’s important to sign up to reserve your place before they all go, places are strictly limited!

The workshops run as follows and are open for dancers of ALL levels:

5.30-6.30pm: Junior Hip Hop Workshop with Lamb (Ages 8-14yrs). $20.
6.30-7.45pm: Senior Hip Hop Workshop with Philippe (Ages 15yrs and over). $25.

Normal Hip Hop classes will be cancelled to make way for these workshops, and we urge all students no matter what styles they learn to join up for this unmissable opportunity!
