About Musical Theatre

Teaming up with WA’s top professional cabaret dance and performance troupe, Lady Velvet Cabaret, we bring to you the ultimate Musical Theatre course to show you just how the pros do it. In this class, you will be taught exciting song and dance numbers inspired by famous Broadway and West End productions. Get a taste of what it would be like to be a part of some of the biggest musicals in the world such as Chicago, Cats, Wicked, Nine and more!

This is an OPEN class, so students of all levels are welcome. Both vocal and dance training will be included in the course, however choreography will be tailored to suit each student’s strengths.

Students in this class will be given the opportunity (entirely optional) to perform their routines in a real life cabaret show with Lady Velvet Cabaret at the end of each term, so you too will experience what it truly feels like to be a performer!

What to Wear

Comfortable clothing you can move freely in. For example, jazz pants, leggings, T-shirts, singlets, off-shoulder tops, etc. Jazz shoes preferred, however you may wear sneakers or go barefoot for the first few lessons until you have settled into the style.
