The best thing I achieved as a dancer on this trip was multiple turns. And it made me realise dance is something I want to do for the rest of my life. An instructor who really inspired me was Heidi Jarrett because she is always happy and energetic, even when she makes a mistake she just smiles. One of my favourite masterclasses was African Dance because it was very different to something I would usually do.
I am so glad that not only I found dance but I found it at a place that has the most incredible staff and students. When you do something that is out of your comfort zone you want to be in an environment that makes you feel safe, secure and supported and that is exactly what you guys have here. Every time I come to dance I feel like I am with what family is supposed to be like and I love every minute of it. Whether I arrive in a positive headspace or not, I always leave at least slightly better … Read more
I would also like to say big thank you to all the WAPS team for the effort to teach the kids and organise the concert. It was amazing!!! Your work is invaluable. My Tiny Ballerina really liked the time spent at rehearsals and backstage. And she really loved participating in this gorgeous concert.
Just wanted to say thank you for attending the Chilli Fest – the ladies were great! They looked awesome and had so much fun having photos, dancing and providing atmosphere at the festival (even helping out at the chilli eating comp!)
I just wanted to thank you for offering the class via Zoom. It’s so great for her to be able to join in with something fun every week and continue her dancing till things get back to being able to be out and about safely. It’s so important for children to be able to connect in this way and feel part of something familiar. This season, my boy has missed over 7 hours of soccer a week and I really feel for him not being able to have the physical activity and mental health benefits that gr… Read more
Just a quick note to say thank you & Beau so much for a wonderful party today. The kids had a ball & I had a very easy, stress free day. Highly recommend it to my friends.
Something I’ve learned at DEX that I would not have experienced if I’d not attended, were lots more skills, and the experience of travelling on my own for the very first time! I achieved more dance skills and got more confident at meeting new people. It was fun exploring Disneyland Hollywood and Starbucks. From my Master Instructors, I learned to smile whilst dancing, show expression, give it your all, believe in yourself, and don’t care what anyone else thinks.
We really enjoy the classes! Emily is a great teacher, very patient and understanding and the classes are loads of fun!
The concert was fantastic!! What talented students you have at WAPS. And the costumes are gorgeous!
WOW! Every year I think you can’t top the previous year….but you did it again! As always, sensational costumes, great music and fantastic entertainment.
