Something I learned from an older dancer was that it’s ok to be unsure. Some of the dancers who inspired me most today were the adults from WAPS because I hope I can come to Dance Excellence every year til I’m that age. After our IPB performance, I felt accomplished but also sad that it was over!

I hope you have recovered after Saturday! What a spectacular evening! I just wanted to send a quick note to say what an amazing effort you all put in to produce a concert of such high standard. I think we would be in deep dark depression if we couldn’t continue with dancing during COVID-19 lockdown.  It’s so important for the girls to continue to have this creative outlet as everything else seems to have “closed up” for undetermined lengths of time.  We look forward to our weekly interactions and hope to see your smiling faces in person again soon!

Dear Stella and team, Just a short note to say how incredibly impressed I was with today’s Junior concert. No doubt the logistics required to produce such a seamless event would have been huge from sourcing the costumes, ensuring each child was dressed and ready on time, the tight routines, communicating expectations to parents, coordinating the rehearsals etc etc. I commend you and your staff for such a professional and enjoyable production. I just want to say what an incredible place WAPS is. It’s a truly magical haven where I not only feel I can be myself but better myself at the same time. Dancing at DEX was an unforgettable experience that has taught me so much as a dancer and educator. To learn from some of my idols and perform on an international scale was incredible and the lessons learned and friends made will stay with me for a long time! Seeing the growing confidence and boost in skills of all WAPS dance team members has been fantastic and I can see the long-term benefits of the trip will be felt in the studio for years to come.
