I think we would be in deep dark depression if we couldn’t continue with dancing during COVID-19 lockdown. It’s so important for the girls to continue to have this creative outlet as everything else seems to have “closed up” for undetermined lengths of time. Dance in America is something that I believe you just have to experience to get a real appreciation for this art. By getting to be a part of the tour, it truly opened my eyes to just what I can be capable of, even if I am of a non traditional age to be dancing and learning new skills. I was so impressed with the junior concert on Saturday. Seemed like there was no pressure on the kids, they just got to have fun, the acts moved through quickly and was really enjoyable! Thanks for all the effort in putting it together.

Something I’ve learned at DEX that I would not have experienced if I’d not attended, were lots more skills, and the experience of travelling on my own for the very first time! I achieved more dance skills and got more confident at meeting new people. It was fun exploring Disneyland Hollywood and Starbucks. From my Master Instructors, I learned to smile whilst dancing, show expression, give it your all, believe in yourself, and don’t care what anyone else thinks.
