The best thing I achieved as a dancer on this trip was multiple turns. And it made me realise dance is something I want to do for the rest of my life. An instructor who really inspired me was Heidi Jarrett because she is always happy and energetic, even when she makes a mistake she just smiles. One of my favourite masterclasses was African Dance because it was very different to something I would usually do.

Dance in America is something that I believe you just have to experience to get a real appreciation for this art. By getting to be a part of the tour, it truly opened my eyes to just what I can be capable of, even if I am of a non traditional age to be dancing and learning new skills. It helped me form new dreams, and to me, that alone makes the whole experience so worth it.

We wanted to say thank you to all of the teachers and assistants who have taught her so much over the last couple of years. She has really grown in her skill level and confidence, and I am very grateful for all the time taken for her, and also the faith that has been put in her abilities by her teachers. Dear Stella and team, Just a short note to say how incredibly impressed I was with today’s Junior concert. Oscar, his friends and all the parents had the most amazing time, and it was all because of how great the Urban Grooves party was run! There were smiles for days in our household, rewatching videos of the dances they created and the games they all played! Kids birthday parties are stressful. Honestly yourself and WAPS not only made this the most memorable birthday party Oscar has ever had but by far the most enjoyable for everyone, siblings, friends, parents and of course the birthday boy!!
