Something I’ve learned at DEX that I would not have experienced if I’d not attended, were lots more skills, and the experience of travelling on my own for the very first time! I achieved more dance skills and got more confident at meeting new people. It was fun exploring Disneyland Hollywood and Starbucks. From my Master Instructors, I learned to smile whilst dancing, show expression, give it your all, believe in yourself, and don’t care what anyone else thinks.

The best thing I achieved as a dancer on this trip was multiple turns. And it made me realise dance is something I want to do for the rest of my life. An instructor who really inspired me was Heidi Jarrett because she is always happy and energetic, even when she makes a mistake she just smiles. One of my favourite masterclasses was African Dance because it was very different to something I would usually do.

Dear WAPS Staff, Organisers, and parent helpers, Thank you for your amazing efforts in organising and managing such an entertaining and rewarding Junior Concert. Just wanted to send you a big big thank you for all your help in coordinating Shelley’s hens night on Saturday! Everyone had a fabulous evening. Claire was amazing! It’s not easy rounding up 35 very loud women but she did a superb job! So please pass on my praise! Will definitely contact you in the future and pass on your website to others. I just wanted to say a big thanks for organising Emily, Izzie and Beau to attend The Funarium! They were so great with the kids and we got so much positive feedback from the classes.

Something I learned from an older dancer was that it’s ok to be unsure. Some of the dancers who inspired me most today were the adults from WAPS because I hope I can come to Dance Excellence every year til I’m that age. After our IPB performance, I felt accomplished but also sad that it was over!
