The WA Performance School is proud to offer Acrobatic Arts syllabus to students from 5 years to adult, with the option to undertake examinations available for those looking to push themselves to fine tune their technique and try an exam. Acrobatic Arts is an internationally recognised syllabus, based on safe and effective progressions in flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering and tumbling. Dancers who train through Acrobatic Arts have balanced development, are stronger, more flexible and are fearless!

The best thing I achieved as a dancer on this trip was multiple turns. And it made me realise dance is something I want to do for the rest of my life. An instructor who really inspired me was Heidi Jarrett because she is always happy and energetic, even when she makes a mistake she just smiles. One of my favourite masterclasses was African Dance because it was very different to something I would usually do.

Dance in America is something that I believe you just have to experience to get a real appreciation for this art. By getting to be a part of the tour, it truly opened my eyes to just what I can be capable of, even if I am of a non traditional age to be dancing and learning new skills. It helped me form new dreams, and to me, that alone makes the whole experience so worth it.

I was so proud of how Ruby embraced every minute of the dance and seeing her dance back here (our weekly Wednesday Dalwallinu dance has started) her confidence, composure and projection to the (imaginary) audience (in our lounge room) has made a progressive jump disproportionate to normal development.
