Our spectacular flashmob success!
WAPS Flashmob Recap
We are proud to share with you the photos of our fantastic flash mob performance during the West Coast Fever vs Adelaide Thunderbirds netball match at Challenge Stadium on April 29th. Televised on Channel 10, and with a packed-out crowd of over 4,000 the game was exciting and fast-paced (you can read a match report here), and was made all the more exciting with great performances from WA Performance School dancers!
WAPS Dancers opened the match with a fun and fast-paced cheerleading routine, before our half-time extravaganza began. Over 50 dedicated dancers, who had attended countless rehearsals and kept the secret flash mob plans quiet for weeks performed a fantastic ‘impromptu’ dance during half time, with our cheerleaders starting a dance that grew and grew as more students ran onto the courts or joined in on the balconies – what a great effect! The audience was thrilled and some even danced along with us!
Overall, we hope our students found their flash mob experience valuable and exciting – performing alongside The Netboyz (who visited from the Eastern states), and Paula Parore from The Voice to a sell-out crowd who enjoyed every minute! We’d like to thank them for their hard work and dedication, and our lovely parents who supported our dancers throughout rehearsals and even attended the game and cheered us on. Thank you all for your hard work and secrecy as we planned this spectacular event, and your professionalism on the day!
