Foundation in ballet is the perfect accompaniment to all other dance styles. It builds strength, flexibility, core stability and improves your posture. A dance style that encompasses grace, elegance and poise, this class is perfect for those who are either complete beginners in ballet or are getting back into the style after a long break. It is also recommended for dancers who want to learn the technique to compliment other dance styles, those wishing to get back to basics, or those wishing to pursue dance as a career. This class will focus on all aspects of ballet technique including barre work, centre and stretching. You’ll feel elegant, graceful and will see a noticeable difference in your posture and the way you carry yourself in no time.
If you would like some extra time to practise the basic techniques, positions, and terminology of ballet, join our Ballet Foundations class. This class gives you an extra 30 minutes of practise and foundation work to supplement any other ballet class you take with us.

What to Wear
Comfortable clothing, with form-fitting bottoms (i.e. tights, jazz pants, shorts etc). Ballet shoes preferred but class can also be taken in socks or bare feet.
