About Emerald – Dance & Training Troupe

Emerald Troupe is a dance and dance-training troupe. Invited members are those students who are passionate about dance, self-improvement and with the resilience and drive to grow in a fast-paced setting.

This troupe has been created for students who are looking to join our advanced level classes and troupes (such as Diamond and Empire) and wants to be challenged with their dance training and skills. 

Whilst teamwork plays a large part in our troupes, individual skill and dedication is equally important in this troupe, as those who excel may be given extra opportunities for smaller specialised group work. 

This troupe will have a strong focus on technique, skills and conditioning to push troupe members to the next level – whether it be our more advanced classes, troupes, professional performances or possible competition opportunities. 

The focus will be on Jazz and Contemporary/Lyrical styles. 

Age

The WAPS Emerald Troupe is open to open to intermediate and senior aged students. Dancers should be committed, reliable and dedicated, and willing to participate in external performance opportunities.

Requirements

In order to join Emerald troupe, members must take a minimum of one Ballet or Contemporary/Lyrical class as well as a Modern Jazz class and one other class of choice. Troupe members are required to be committed and reliable team players, and as such we request that WAPS be notified in advance of any absences that affect attendance.
