Studying drama & acting is a great way of developing self-confidence, spatial awareness and voice projection, especially from a young age. In this class you will learn skills such as improvisation, role-play, characterisation and voice work, as well as giving students skills and real-world experience in voice acting, presentation, projection, and more. It will build your child’s self-esteem and help to nurture and support their creative capabilities.

Students will be given opportunities to participate in stage plays and productions as well as potential voice or filmed performances, and may choose to audition for roles as presenters on our WAPSTV YouTube Channel.

What to Wear

WAPS Uniform or comfortable clothing with closed toe shoes.

    I’d like to start this email by commending WAPS for the pro-active and innovative way you have managed the current COVID-19 situation we are experiencing – they way you were able to embrace and mobilize technology, and your excellent communications, to keep classes running has been really impressive.     Dancing at DEX was an unforgettable experience that has taught me so much as a dancer and educator. To learn from some of my idols and perform on an international scale was incredible and the lessons learned and friends made will stay with me for a long time! Seeing the growing confidence and boost in skills of all WAPS dance team members has been fantastic and I can see the long-term benefits of the trip will be felt in the studio for years to come.

    I think we would be in deep dark depression if we couldn’t continue with dancing during COVID-19 lockdown.  It’s so important for the girls to continue to have this creative outlet as everything else seems to have “closed up” for undetermined lengths of time.  We look forward to our weekly interactions and hope to see your smiling faces in person again soon!

    I just wanted to let everyone know that the end of year concert was great! We were so impressed by all the performances and we have a great memory of our daughters first concert. We also want to thank Miss Sarah for being an outstanding dance teacher with a lot of patience. She is truly great at what she does and you can tell she loves her role!
