About Sylvia Sippl
Full-time WAPS studio manager Sylvia Sippl is a passionate teacher and artist with over fifteen years’ experience as a musician, performer and teacher of the arts. Beginning her music education at just two years old, Sylvia has gone on to achieve highly in violin, piano, voice and public speaking.
An experienced and versatile performer, Sylvia has performed solo and as part of ensembles like orchestras, string quartets and choirs in venues and festivals including Fairbridge Festival, Yagan Square, Perth International Arts Festival, Fringe World Perth, Perth Concert Hall, London’s Barbican Theatre, Salzburg Cathedral, Busselton Fringe Festival, Northbridge Piazza, South Perth Fiesta, City of Perth New Year’s Eve Countdown and more.
Sylvia is a practising visual artist, musician, and professional MC, and a UWA graduate (Fine Arts and Education), passionate about education, having taught various subjects and styles since 2005. Sylvia is currently working towards her Australian Kodaly Certificate (Primary Music Education) and teaches drama, singing, music, musical theatre, beginner violin, and piano at The WA Performance School.
She is proud of her work in the Perth arts and entertainment sector, producing and performing for crowds of all ages, as well as self-producing solo shows and events. Sylvia is also passionate about accessibility and education for all, with a minor in Special Education, she enjoys helping students of all learning types and needs to gain a sense of success and achievement from their musical studies.
