Term 3 update… plus NEW music course!

Piano Classes PerthWAPS News: Exams, Piano Classes, Rehearsals

It seems that all too soon the holidays were over and Term 3 was upon us already! It’s hard to believe that we’re already in week 6 of the term, and that so many exciting opportunities are quickly creeping up on us.

Thanks to Kosmic Sound and Casio Australia, we are proud to announce The WA Performance School’s brand new piano and keyboard lessons! Lessons will soon be commencing for students (child and adult) in piano and music!
With private or small group lessons available, WAPS piano and keyboard courses focus not only on instrumental teaching but on basic music theory, aural and reading too – to create pianists who are confident musicians!
Using a range of courses and resources, WAPS piano students will receive quality and student-centred lessons suitable for students whether they are beginning for the very first time, or have some experience already. If your child wants to learn piano and music, or wishes to return to it, contact us today for more information! Parents, if you have always wanted to play, or would like to brush up on your skills, contact us as well! Don’t forget WAPS’ special family discount!

Apart from our exciting new courses, WAPS students have been busy preparing for a range of performances coming up at the end of the year!

In October our Royal Academy of Dance students will have the option to participate in Ballet examinations in preparation for next year’s new R.A.D. syllabus exams. This is a great opportunity for our students of all ages to demonstrate all their hard work and dedication! Exams are a great experience and an important part of Ballet, and are a great honour for our students!

October also brings the annual Bayswater Dance Competitions. Held from the 7th to the 12th of October, the Competitions not only offer a fantastic chance for troupes and soloists to show off their talent and hard work, but it’s a unique opportunity for dancers to challenge themselves, build technique and discipline, and feel proud of their achievements! The hard-working students in our Junior Impact Troupe, Senior Impact Troupe and Cheerleading class are busily rehearsing their troupe routines, and some students are even preparing solos! Congratulations to our fantastic students and instructors for all their extra hard work and dedication during this busy time! The students are also preparing performances for the Subiaco Craft Fair on October 28th

Also quickly approaching is our end-of-year concert, with all classes busily learning their routines, performances and repertoire for what promises to be a fantastic showcase of all The WA Performance School’s talented classes! WAPS is a hive of activity with extra private lessons or rehearsals running, costume measurements, routine planning, and many dance, acting, and singing classes rehearsing their dances, lines, or songs! Don’t forget that once Term 4 begins, new students are no longer eligible to participate in the concert, so now is your last chance to join a class and participate in the performance!

With the warmer months coming on, WAPS is also busy with lots of fantastic dance-themed birthday parties! Having already hosted some fabulous dance parties, including some fun and funky disco and fairy parties, WAPS looks forward to hosting many more great events coming up.
