I hope you have recovered after Saturday! What a spectacular evening! I just wanted to send a quick note to say what an amazing effort you all put in to produce a concert of such high standard. Oscar, his friends and all the parents had the most amazing time, and it was all because of how great the Urban Grooves party was run! There were smiles for days in our household, rewatching videos of the dances they created and the games they all played! Kids birthday parties are stressful. Honestly yourself and WAPS not only made this the most memorable birthday party Oscar has ever had but by far the most enjoyable for everyone, siblings, friends, parents and of course the birthday boy!!

Dancing at DEX was an unforgettable experience that has taught me so much as a dancer and educator. To learn from some of my idols and perform on an international scale was incredible and the lessons learned and friends made will stay with me for a long time! Seeing the growing confidence and boost in skills of all WAPS dance team members has been fantastic and I can see the long-term benefits of the trip will be felt in the studio for years to come.

Something I’ve learned at DEX that I would not have experienced if I’d not attended, were lots more skills, and the experience of travelling on my own for the very first time! I achieved more dance skills and got more confident at meeting new people. It was fun exploring Disneyland Hollywood and Starbucks. From my Master Instructors, I learned to smile whilst dancing, show expression, give it your all, believe in yourself, and don’t care what anyone else thinks.

I’d like to start this email by commending WAPS for the pro-active and innovative way you have managed the current COVID-19 situation we are experiencing – they way you were able to embrace and mobilize technology, and your excellent communications, to keep classes running has been really impressive. Sadly not all kids activities have managed to do this so as a parent now grappling with school and work at home, I am truly grateful and my daughter is loving her Zoom classes!
