I hope you have recovered after Saturday! What a spectacular evening! I just wanted to send a quick note to say what an amazing effort you all put in to produce a concert of such high standard. I was so proud of how Ruby embraced every minute of the dance and seeing her dance back here (our weekly Wednesday Dalwallinu dance has started) her confidence, composure and projection to the (imaginary) audience (in our lounge room) has made a progressive jump disproportionate to normal development.

Something I’ve learned at DEX that I would not have experienced if I’d not attended, were lots more skills, and the experience of travelling on my own for the very first time! I achieved more dance skills and got more confident at meeting new people. It was fun exploring Disneyland Hollywood and Starbucks. From my Master Instructors, I learned to smile whilst dancing, show expression, give it your all, believe in yourself, and don’t care what anyone else thinks.

I would also like to say big thank you to all the WAPS team for the effort to teach the kids and organise the concert. It was amazing!!! Your work is invaluable. My Tiny Ballerina really liked the time spent at rehearsals and backstage. And she really loved participating in this gorgeous concert.

Dance in America is something that I believe you just have to experience to get a real appreciation for this art. By getting to be a part of the tour, it truly opened my eyes to just what I can be capable of, even if I am of a non traditional age to be dancing and learning new skills. It helped me form new dreams, and to me, that alone makes the whole experience so worth it.

I have nothing but positive comments! WAPS has an amazing vibe and classes were fun and I always left feeling happy and accomplished! I used to get very shy about the thought of attending dance classes but WAPS was such a judgement free zone it made me feel comfy and able to enjoy myself!
