Something I learned from an older dancer was that it’s ok to be unsure. Some of the dancers who inspired me most today were the adults from WAPS because I hope I can come to Dance Excellence every year til I’m that age. After our IPB performance, I felt accomplished but also sad that it was over!

I hope you have recovered after Saturday! What a spectacular evening! I just wanted to send a quick note to say what an amazing effort you all put in to produce a concert of such high standard. I am so glad that not only I found dance but I found it at a place that has the most incredible staff and students. When you do something that is out of your comfort zone you want to be in an environment that makes you feel safe, secure and supported and that is exactly what you guys have here. Something I’ve learned at DEX that I would not have experienced if I’d not attended, were lots more skills, and the experience of travelling on my own for the very first time! I achieved more dance skills and got more confident at meeting new people. It was fun exploring Disneyland Hollywood and Starbucks. From my Master Instructors, I learned to smile whilst dancing, show expression, give it your all, believe in yourself, and don’t care what anyone else thinks.

I would also like to say big thank you to all the WAPS team for the effort to teach the kids and organise the concert. It was amazing!!! Your work is invaluable. My Tiny Ballerina really liked the time spent at rehearsals and backstage. And she really loved participating in this gorgeous concert.
